Absolutely freaking phenomenal. Ambiance. Music. Decor. Staff. Menu. Quality. Price. The chocolate mousse — heaven on earth. The butter. Carlos was our main waiter and he was SO on point! I told him I was allergic to red pepper and he stole my soup before I touched it — remembering my allergy. So attentive! I am in love with this place. My fav in PV by far.
I love this restaurant SO much. I am a frequent diner at all the great spots in Vallarta and every time I dine here I am blown away. The food is perfect and service is the best in town. It is a hidden gem. Try it. You’ll see!
After more than a decade of seasonal visits to PV, we finally tried Azafrán, and it was fantastic. Kind and professional staff, nice ambiance, and great food. The menu is largely mild European fare that seemed a bit low on the flavor scale, but it was all made with quality ingredients cooked perfectly. There’s a small indoor dining room, but we sat outside under the covered walkway along Olas Altas, which was quieter than the same stretch of Street just a block away. We tried two of the specialty cocktails, which were both a bit too sweet, but still really tasty. Looking forward to coming again!
Beautiful and delicious food. Lovely attentive staff and experience. Will be back 🤤 Loved the shrimp appetizer, baby green salad, the Nayarit style lamb, the catch of the day (mahi mahi) and salted caramel chocolate mouse 👌🏼
The food was amazing!! Really high quality ingredients and cooking. Presentation was top notch. We ordered the goat cheese and beet salad, shrimp appetizer (the avocado mango part was so good!), lamb barbacoa wrapped in cabbage, and mahi mahi with risotto and loved all of it. The service was excellent and everyone was very friendly and accommodating.
10 years coming to Puerto Vallarta and Azafran is head and shoulders above all others. Regardless of cuisine! Every dish is fresh, proper temperature and perfectly balanced in flavor. Portions are generous. The menu is on the shorter side. This is a good thing. Dishes are thoughtful and fulfilling and are a complete food experience on their own. Ambience is pleasant and romantic-even on tables close to the street! Service provided by Nico, Carlos and Carlos was excellent. This is a must try if you’re visiting or residing in PVR. No doubt you’ll be back!
Had a super spectacular birthday dinner for my husband and a dear friend last Monday. The entire menu from appetizers to dessert was personally prepared and served by Chef Andréas. Let the photos speak for themselves! I highly recommend this place.
Visited during PV Restaurant Week and ordered the fixed price menu. Appetizers, main course and dessert were excellent (flavorful and thoughtfully prepared)! The staff was attentive, courteous and went above and beyond to accommodate us in seating us even though they were super booked and busy. Highly recommend the food and service here!
