Just arrived in PV late last night after a long journey across Mexico and hadn’t had a decent meal in days. Found this amazing restaurant one block from my hotel. Took the advice of my waiter and ordered the catch of the day and was not disappointed. The Mahi Mahi was so fresh, probably caught that morning. The staff was also very friendly, easily spoke English and attentive. I have another week here and will be back. It is on the high end for Mexico, worth every pesos.

Had a wonderful meal!. Oh my goodness, what lucky Fates led our feet in the direction of this amazing, five-star dining establishment! From the freshly-caught tuna sashimi, leek and mushroom soup, beet carpaccio, to the Osso buco which melted in your mouth, to the meal ending sublimely with a heavenly chocolate and salted caramel mousse; we will be dreaming of this meal for a long time to come. Kudos to the talented and creative chef, and the amazingly attentive and friendly servers – we will come here to dine again, and again, and again- bravi!

A birthday made super special. We love this restaurant. Chef Andres never disappoints from the incredible sashimi appetizer, thru the stuffed figs to the shrimp/salmon pair finishing with a lemon tart to live for. Service is attentive and not rushed allowing time to savour the delectable food. Everything beautifully presented: dinner is a feast for the eyes as well as the palate. Thank you Azafran for another memorable meal and a special birthday celebration.

From the moment we arrived till we left, the service was extremely good. Not just the servers, the bartender and chef stopped at the table to see how we were doing. The menu is varied and prices are very good. The food is fantastic! Our burrata cheese appetizer went perfect with the great bread. Our meals of Schnitzel and the salmon were outstanding. Our meal experience was truly spectacular.

The food, atmosphere and staff were all outstanding!!! I was talked into going and had my reservations… they were quickly quashed the second we entered. It was a quiet start and we were the only ones there. Don’t let that deter you, the food was well above par!! We started with margaritas, stuffed figs and sautéed asparagus, both of which had excellent flavor and were prepared perfectly! The main course was short ribs and my partner had shredded lamb wrapped in cabbage. The short ribs fell apart and were cocked to perfection. The flavor with the gravely, vegetables and masked potatoes couldn’t have been better. We’ll be back, guaranteed!!

I went to Azafran with friends last night. I was hesitant because I had a really bad experience way back when this restaurant had a different name but nevertheless decided to give it a try again. What a 180 degrees refreshing surprise! I had the tuna Carpaccio to start with and it was exceptionally in innovative presentation, quality of ingredients and surprisingly generous in portion. I loved it.
I had the Mahi Mahi. Fresh, tomato reduction, olives. Very pleasing. The side rice delivered this nice saffron quality that I really enjoy. My spouse had the pork belly and truly enjoyed it. We had a bottle of French Rose wine. Nice, crisp and very reasonably priced. Service was polished, unobtrusive. We’re glad we went back and we will return.

Great food and even better service. Location is awesome. Nic and “Desi Arnaz” took great care of me. I asked why so few tables, and their response was so that they could give the best service. To that I say YES.
